Popular indie game Minecraft has failed its final testing for its PlayStation 4 port, just days after announcing that 4J Studios had handed over the final copy to Sony for approval.

It appears that Sony has found some technical issues in the final build, which means that it is unlikely that the game will be released in time for its original release window of this month, although the developers are working on fixing it the problems. 4J Studios tweeted:

The Xbox One and PlayStation Vita builds of Minecraft were also scheduled for release this month, but 4J Studios is currently working on fixing bugs in both of those versions as well:

The port was originally sent to Sony on August 12, and if the wait for the final build testing is the same this time around, it could mean that a release in mid-September would now seem most likely. It may also be the case that 4J Studios will be releasing all the ports that they’re currently working on at the same time, which would mean an even longer wait for fans.
