Ubisoft has announced this morning that since The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot went into Open Beta just two weeks ago, 1.5 million people have signed up to play, spanning over 240 different countries.
According to the fact sheet sent out today, “Thus far, players have plundered more than 29 billion pieces of gold in 790 000 player-created castles during the 28 million hours they’ve put into the game. Fans have also taken to Twitch, streaming more than 3,360 hours, which equates to 14 days of non-stop looting!”
Which, we have to admit, is fairly impressive.
The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot takes the hack-and-slash gameplay of Blizzard’s Diablo series and pairs it with Tower Defense mechanics. Players invade each other’s dungeons, while also kitting out their own with traps, minions and other obstacles. It’s actually rather good fun and given that it’s free to play, you have no excuse not to try it.
In addition to the stats listed above, Ubisoft has also released a new trailer for the game, which you can check out below.
