Warner Bros. Interactive has released a new story trailer for Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, currently in development by Monolith.
As the name suggests, the game takes place in Tolkien’s famous fantasy universe, casting players as Talion, a man brutally attacked and left for dead on the night of Sauron’s return to Mordor. With his family slaughtered and magically returned to life by by a mysterious Spirit of vengeance, Talion embarks on a quest for revenge.
The release date is set for October 7th, 2014; if you pre-order, you’ll gain access to the Dark Ranger bonus pack. This add-on grants you an exclusive character skin, a Challenge Mode called “Test of Power”, and exclusive access to leaderboard support for that mode.
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is being released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.
