The Elder Scrolls Online hasn’t done aggressively well since its inception. It hasn’t reviewed well, nor has it really been terribly successful in keeping the attention of gamers. It has, however, managed to catch the attention of Xbox One players when a page for the release of The Elder Scrolls Online briefly showed up on a Microsoft Store page yesterday, with a release date of February 24th.
Although the console versions of The Elder Scrolls Online were a known quantity, their original release date of June 2014 got pushed back to vague “2015,” then again in December to an unspecified date sometime this year.
The store page was quickly changed by Microsoft to reflect the usual “2015” release window, but not before many eager internet beavers had taken note.
February 24th is a Tuesday, the normal day for game releases in North America - so it’s a plausible date for release, if likely a little early for a game that’s seen so many date changes.
However, with some luck and if the mistake happened to be right, players can look forward to a console version of ESO to hit digital shelves in February.
