Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment have released a new trailer for Life is Strange‘s second episode, which is due to arrive next week after a slight delay. You can view the trailer below.
Out of Time picks up where the last Episode left off, and Dontnod promises that you’ll start to see the consequences of your decisions in Episode 1. Maxine will also explore new locations, getting away from the Academy to poke around more of her hometown of Arcadia Bay. There’ll be a few new characters, and what is described as “difficult” choices to make.
Life is Strange Episode 2: Out of Time will be released on March 24th for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Episodes can be bought individually, or you can pick up a season pass for $17.99 (if you purchased the first episode) or $19.99 (if you’re a newcomer).
Jodie reviewed Life is Strange and found it to be a decent adventure game with plenty of promise, though a little light on choice and consequence in its debut episode, awarding it a score of 7/10.
“Life is Strange is a good example of the point and click genre, but so far, based on this first Episode, it doesn’t do much to set it apart from the competition,” Jodie wrote in her Life is Strange Episode One: Chrysalis Review. “With mechanics that will lose their charm after a while, and characters which can become annoying and overly stereotypical the more time they spend on screen, the first episode of Life is Strange sets the mood for the second episode well; but the game as a whole has the potential to become forgettable if Out of Time continues to make the same mistakes as Chrysalis has.”
