Anyone that’s plugged their PlayStation 2 into a HDTV for a nostalgic trip through a fondly-remembered classic has had their memories sullied by poor color saturation and an incredible amount of jaggies. Old consoles just don’t look good on new TVs.
It’s a problem that HD remakes like Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix aim to solve, and this latest comparison trailer puts the PS2 original and PS3 HD remaster of Kindgom Hearts 2 side-by-side - making it abundantly clear that those old PS2 games are rarely as pretty as we remember them.
Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix is set to be released for the PlayStation 3 on December 2. We’ll keep you up to date on any new screens and trailers as they come out.
