Kerbal Space Program Counting Down to v1.0 Launch

KSP_release_news_01

You probably already know about Kerbal Space Program; the alpha version of the game was available all the way back in 2011, and the public beta has been available for purchase on Steam since 2013. But now, after four years of tweaks, fixes, mods, additions and updates, the game finally has an official release date.

The announcement brought no word of price changes, but it’s probably safe to assume that the beta version of the game will cost less than the final version. Squad, the development team behind Kerbal Space Program, made a post on the KSP forums that simply said “We’re proud to announce Kerbal Space Program will be released on the 27th of April. Enjoy the first preview video!”

Here’s the mentioned video, which features a female Kerbal climbing up a space-ship:

On top of the release news, there is also a Twitter contest to win something “super cool” by tweeting your Kerbal-related photos with #KerbalCountdown, with “bonus points for people willing to take the Kerbal spirit to the real world!” I’m thinking that SpaceX’s Elon Musk, the European Space Agency and NASA – all of whom have endorsed Kerbal Space Program – have the advantage on this one. Still, can’t hurt to try!

Read something cool a/b Sikhs, said "Sikhs are fucking sick" unironically, then laughed when I got the joke. Might have brain damage... - 1 week ago
