Goat Simulator about to get even goatier

Goat Simulator, Cofee Stain Studios’ excellent Caprine-em-up, is to receive a content patch.

Patch 1.1 will add a new map estimated to be roughly the same size as the existing game map, new playable goats, new achievements and, interestingly, local split-screen multiplayer. Further details about the multiplayer are scarce at the moment, but we should find out more closer to the release date.

Currently, the patch is penciled in for mid-May, though Coffee Stain “implores players to please not pipe-bomb their office if the patch ends up taking a little bit more time than that.”.

Speaking about the update, Coffee Stain’s head of PR, Armin Ibrisagic, had this to say: “A lot of people have been asking for DLC with new maps for Goat Simulator, but we would feel bad charging people for DLC content when people can just download new stuff for free from the Steam Workshop, so we decided to do a free update instead.”

More Goat-related goodness certainly isn’t a bad thing - we rather liked it, giving it 9/1 in our review. Kyle Barrows also recorded a Let’s Play video of the game, which you can watch below.
