Goat Simulator 1.1 Released

Back at the end of March, we had a fantastic time with Coffee Stain Studios’s Goat Simulator, a game whose title is so apt it needs no explanation - but it definitely deserves one. The beginning of our 9/10 experience with Goat Simulator entailed walking around doing goat things. By the end of it, we were jetpacking around, headbutting everything in plain sight, and dragging cars across the map with a tongue so powerful it puts Yoshi to shame.

And just when we thought we couldn’t get enough of the enchantingly buggy mess that is Goat Simulator, the developers bestowed a hefty gift upon us today: the highly anticipated first patch for the game filled to the brim with new content (and supposedly, some welcome optimization). Here’s some choice highlights of what to look forward to in Goat Simulator 1.1:

  • Splitscreen multiplayer supporting up to four goats at the same time
  • New goats to rampage with (‘Tornado Goat’ is our personal favorite)
  • A brand new map, roughly the same size as the original
  • Capture the Flag, Racing, and Ragdoll Hockey
  • Transportation via bicycle and skateboard

The update is available on Steam right now, and is the first of what will apparently be many free additions to the game. A full rundown of what the patch includes can be found here. If you still find yourself unconvinced, check out the brilliant trailer below.
