Information about niche features in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has surfaced lately. developer CD Project Red had thrown in Geralt’s facial hair as an organic part of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As you play his facial hair will grow over time just as it would in real life.

German news source Gamestar said these kinds of minor details create a more immersive experience for the player. Its brings some aesthetic value to the Witcher. Also CD Project Red told Eurogamer about the Beard and Hairstyle DLC. This will be free content and will allow for you to customize Geralt’s hair style to your liking. Once downloaded Geralt’s facial hair will cease growing.

Gameinformer asked CD Project Red if there will be more of this minute detail in the Witcher. And it appears the immersion won’t stop with a bit of stubble.

CD Projekt’s lead quest deThe Witcher 3's First 15 Minutes Have Been Shown Off - And It Looks Stunningsigner Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz said “Geralt’s face actually changes the higher his toxicity is, as you know, Witcher elixirs are highly toxic, and could kill a human if he/she drank one. Witchers are more resistant to this toxin, but it does influence them. In game you have this ‘toxicity bar,’ which shows you how intoxicated Geralt is.”

Poison does a number on Geralt and this will be quite obvious in-game. Tomaszkiewicz said “the higher the toxicity bar, the more those toxic changes show on Geralt’s face. His face becomes unnaturally pale, his veins become visible and seem to be black, dark circles appear under his eyes, etc.”

As we get closer to the release to Witcher 3: Wild Hunt it’s exciting for fans it think about how this plays-out. You can watch the recent 7 minute gameplay trailer of the Witcher down below.
