April 14, Square Enix celebrates the launch of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn for the PlayStation 4. The game is already available for the PlayStation 3 (and PC) but now PS3 players can transfer their accounts across to the new PlayStation 4 version of the game with a free upgrade.
Players should take note that if they take advantage of the free upgrade they will be locked-in to playing the PS4 version of the game. However it will still be possible to alternate between playing on the two systems by purchasing FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn for both.
The Collector’s Edition of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is also available today. It comes with:
- A special collector’s box
- Art Book - The Art of Eorzea: A Realm Reimagined
- Special Soundtrack - The Sounds of Eorzea

- Themed Security Token
- Seventh Umbral Era Special Movie Content Disc - The Waning of the Sixth Sun
