Recently we reported that a HD version of Final Fantasy III would be coming to Steam later this year. The original 1990 NES release of Final Fantasy III was never localized; however it was remade in 2007 for the Nintendo DS. This remake was then ported to iOS platforms and now to PC via the Steam store. Square Enix has claimed the game will have numerous “enhancements”, but was coy about showing us the PC version in action. That’s now changed, thanks to this set of high-resolution screens from the PC build. Interestingly, the screens are fenced in with black borders - suggesting that the game isn’t at a true 16:9 aspect ratio.
