Focus Home Interactive has announced that Farming Simulatory 2015 is due to release on PS4 and Xbox One in May, developed by Giants Software.
The latest addition to the series, which has attracted a cult following over the years despite being firmly in the “niche” group of games, features a brand new graphics and physics engine according to the publisher. It was first released on PC back in October, but Focus is now bringing the series to current-gen consoles, hoping for a bountiful harvest (sorry) of new players.
Farming Simulator 2015 will let players grow and harvest their own crops, get down and dirty with the animals (no, not in that way you miscreant), sell their products on the open market, and invest in new farming methods and agricultural vehicles. The game will feature “hundreds” of acres to farm on in a Nordic environment, according the latest press release. Over 140 different vehicles will be available to purchase and drive in-game - including console-exclusive vehicles - licensed from over 40 different manufacturers. So if you know your Ponsse from your Liebherr, you’re bound to find something of interest.
Farming Simulator 2015 on consoles will also feature multiplayer for the first time, allowing people to co-operate and share their tasklists. So one player could milk the cows while another heads out to pull up potatos from the fields. Or you could indulge in a spot of woodcutting, which is another feature new to the series.
An announcement trailer, and the first crop of console screenshots, is available for you to farm below.
