The Eurogamer expo, EGX Rezzed 2014 in Birmingham, England, is finally over.
It was a successful event, and over the last three days a lot of gamers, publishers and developers alike were taking part in the festivities and trying new and upcoming games. People were participating in developer sessions and competitions such as the GameJam and the Titanfall and Pokemon X/Y tournaments. Most of us were even participating in Alien: Isolation - you can see Dale’s preview here.
Some of the games that were Pre-Alpha builds which where years away from completion; others are either being released this year or are already out. We will be bringing you the reviews and previews of some of the best games (in the humble opinion of Dale and Nic who were there at the event) over the coming weeks, including a review of the game which won the GameJam, Personal Space Invaders, when it is released. Our friends over at XMPT Games have announced that their “asymmetric physical assault game” will be available on their website mid-April, though we will be here to give you more news on that when it surfaces.
For those of you who missed it, the next Eurogamer expo - EGX London - will be in London (obviously) this September, where you can be sure to find more Continue Play writers floating around, trying not to vomit after playing with the Oculus Rift. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
