EA has released the first content update for UFC 2014.
The free update, which is available to download now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, adds TJ Dillashaw, Takeya Mizugaki and Tyron Woodley to the MMA fighting game’s roster. Improvements include the addition of sprawls when defending power takedowns, an updated fight finish that allow players to land extra shots as a fighter gets knocked out, and new touch glove animations at the start of the round.
“From the forums to our social channels, we have been monitoring and listening to feedback from our fans,” said Brian Hayes, the game’s Creative Director. “This content update is our first step in an ongoing commitment to delivering a constantly evolving and improving EA SPORTS UFC.”
UFC 2014 was developed by EA Canada, best known for being the studio behind the popular boxing franchise Fight Night. The game came after sadly-departed publisher THQ sold the rights to EA in 2014.
We reviewed UFC 2014 upon its release last month. “Despite having a number of flaws and lacking in content, EA Sports UFC has succeeded in capturing the sport’s essence”, said Maddy, before awarding it a solid 7/10.
To go along with the new update, EA has released a trailer detailing what players can expect. You can view that just below.
