Throughout E3, Blizzard Entertainment has been hyping up to their launch of Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition. Blizzard’s Twitter followers got a glimpse of a Diablo character resembling the first colossus from Team Ico’s iconic PS2 classic with the tag, “Exclusive PS3 and PS4 In-Game Content: Shadow of the Colossus Transmog Set.” In addition to the character mesh, the PS3 and PS4 version will include The Last of Us content in the form of specific enemies: Runners, Stalkers, Clickers, and Bloaters in an exclusive dungeon.
PC gamers will not be left behind, however, as Blizzard also revealed Update 2.06, which notably includes some major changes to the Monk and Barbarian classes among many other improvements: increased drop rates, interface updates, and more significantly, the loss of legendary crafting items and a slight change to the crafting system. Full patch notes for Update 2.06 are available on Blizzard’s site.
The Ultimate Evil Edition is slated for release on Aug. 19, 2014 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One but it is unknown at this time whether the Shadow of the Colossus or The Last of Us content will be available in that release or in subsequent DLC.
