Dying Light players to be granted super-strength tomorrow

Techland has announced that for one day only, players of Dying Light will be granted super-strength - enabling them to send zombies flying off rooftops with a single punch.

Their characters that is, not the players themselves - though that would be pretty cool.

In what was dubbed an “Emergency Broadcast from Global Relief Effort”, Warner Bros announced that the change will take effect in-game from tomorrow.

“The latest batch of Antizin has been exposed to a foreign contaminant. The chemical in question is non-toxic, but anyone affected might experience odd side-effects for up to 24 hours,” the announcement reads.

“All undelivered Antizin crates have been destroyed, and we would like to assure the survivors that untainted drops will resume as of April 2nd. We urge all the survivors to use extreme care when exhibiting symptoms of the contaminated Antizin injections.”

Of course, tomorrow is April Fool’s Day - so I was bit suspicious about how genuine the announcement was. I contacted Techland to check, who confirmed that the game’s world physics settings will be amended for one day only.

A video was released to show off the effect of the changes, which is pretty amusing. You can check it out below.
