Bandai Namco’s excellent hack-and-slash RPG Dark Souls 2 is out now for PC on Steam. Praise the Sun!
It’s been out for a while on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 of course, but the PC version provides enhanced visuals and the option to play around with features such as motion blur and texture detail. But already players are reporting issues - including games crashes, problems with using a controller, and even issues with mouse and keyboard control. The original Dark Souls also experienced issues of course - including being tethered to Microsoft’s Games For Windows LIVE service - thankfully now defunct. The publisher has promised to fix all of the issues, and has set up a support thread for players, which you can find here.
To celebrate the PC release, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for the game, which you can watch below.
