Company of Heroes 2 Standalone Expansion Announced

If you’ve already played Company of Heroes 2’s campaign to death, you’re in luck; Sega and Relic Entertainment announced today that a standalone expansion for the WWII-themed strategy game will be coming on November 18th for PC. Pricing is yet to be announced.

Taking a break from Eastern Front, the new expansion ‘Ardennes Assault’ will focus on one of the most brutal campaigns the American military faced in the European Theater of Operations: the infamous ‘Battle of the Bulge’ in the French Ardennes forest. During the battle, German units counter-attacked the American front line through the dense forest, cutting off the American supply lines and leaving a massive ‘bulge’ in the Allied front lines. It would become one of the bloodiest fights of the entire war.

The expansion pack will see players taking on the German Oberkommando West in 18 new battle scenarios. Because reinforcements were extremely limited during the battle, your soldiers will now gain ‘veterancy’ as you advance through mission - if you manage to keep them alive.

Greg Wilson, Executive Producer at Relic Entertainment stated ”We managed to include more missions in this expansion than we had in the original release, and it’s packed full of great new features which we’ll be revealing over the coming months.”

Boots on the line, soldier.
