Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare may have proved divisive among some players, but the latest trailer for today’s Supremacy DLC shows that Activision isn’t letting that get them down.
Supremacy, which is availble later today on Xbox One as a timed 30-day exclusive, adds four new multiplayer maps to the latest entry in the long-running series. But the headline addition- and the focus of this launch trailer – is the third episode of the ever-popular Exo Zombies mode, which sees Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell hamming it up alongside John Malkovitch, Rose McGowan, Bill Paxton and John Bernthal. The latest episode, dubbed Carrier, introduces new enemies, Sentinel support squads and new weaponry - and it’s Exo Zombies that the latest trailer is concerned with:
Elsewhere, four new multiplayer maps are added: Parliament, a medium-sized map set aboard a cargo ship on the river Thames in London; Athens, a remake of Greek-based map Highrise; Kremlin, set in the famous Russian government stronghold; and Compound, a small map based in the Colorado wilderness.
Once the timed exclusivity window for Xbox One expires, the DLC will be made available for players on PS4 and PC.
Nic Bunce reviewed Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for Continue Play. Nic awarded Sledgehammer’s first full CoD offering a score of 7/10, finding a solid addition to the series but one which lacks enough innovation to truly bring the series out of its long-running rut.
“Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is certainly a step in the right direction for the series,” Nic wrote in his Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare review. “But even despite the shift to full-blown sci-fi and the additions made to the multiplayer, it plays things a bit too safe.”
