2K Games has announced that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 17. Of course, developer Gearbox wasn’t going to let an announcement like that slide without taking the time to show off a really bizarre new trailer.
The “Moon Dance Trailer” shows off new weapons, vehicles, enemies and characters knee-deep in combat on the surface of Pandora’s Moon.
And dancing. Lots and lots of dancing.
Music for the trailer was provided courtesy of music-and-rhythm game developer Harmonix, showing that even when Gearbox messes around, they don’t mess around.
We brought you details on character classes and story set-up back in April when the game was first announced. In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, you’ll be playing the role of one of four henchmen working alongside Borderlands 2 villain Handsome Jack, albeit before he turned to the dark site. It will be interesting to see the events leading up to his downfall.
We’re curious to see how the story pans out and the new additions work in practice. We’ll know a lot more about the game next week, when it makes its appearance at this year’s E3. In the meantime, check out the trailer and if necessary - Gearbox advises - seek out medical help.
