It appears that the Unity Season Pass is being removed from the various stores and, with previous purchasers being refunded with Ubisoft titles and DLC.
Apparently, the publisher will be refunding the cost of the season pass to buyers - providing them with a free Ubisoft game and a copy of the upcoming Unity DLC The Dead Kings by way of compensation for the game’s ongoing technical problems. Unity’s season pass was removed from both the PSN and Xbox live since the information went up, and the news was confirmed by Ubisoft’s Yanis Mallat announced in a live update post.
The games available to the Unity Season Pass purchasers include The Crew, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends and Just Dance.
Ubisoft has been blasted with negative criticism since the release of Assassin’s Creed Unity because of what many have claimed to be a game released in an unfinished state.
Dale reviewed Unity for Continue Play, and gave it a fairly average 6/10 - a decidedly low score for such a popular franchise. “Assassin’s Creed: Unity is a decent game,” he said. “It’s just not a good game, and it falls far short of the standards that players should expect from what is one of the biggest franchises in the industry.”
