Having been in development for some time, Assassin’s Creed Unity, the follow-up to last year’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, has been revealed today at E3 to be exclusive for next-gen consoles, and will not be available for the Xbox 360 or PS3. Users of old consoles are sure to be disappointed, but this added level of detail allows for something a bit greater from the Ubisoft team.

That new feature is 4 player co-op, featured for the first time in the below screenshot via the Ubisoft conference stream and will come available with the game upon release. Assassin’s Creed Unity is set in Revolutionary France, and features an all-new Assasin named Arno. The game does not have a current release time frame, but Ubisoft has previously stated that it has been in development for the better part of the three years. All screenshots currently shown show the game in its pre-alpha state, and are not reflective of what the game will look like when released on Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC.
