As we reported earlier today, Microsoft announced Rise of the Tomb Raider from Square Enix, the next instalment in the rebooted Tomb Raider franchise. Since then, Square Enix has released the trailer shown today at E3 for your enjoyment, and it would appear that Lara Croft is not over the trauma suffered from her last adventure as she is seen going to therapy.
Furthermore, it is heavily implied from the trailer that she is becoming the hardened raider of tombs that she was in the first run of the franchise. We saw quite the transformation of character for her since the start of Tomb Raider and it will be interesting to see where the developers take her, and let’s hope they don’t bungle up the wordage used when describing her.
