Within their press conference, Bethesda has unveiled a freeware mobile title Fallout Shelter, a game to which you have manage your very own vault.
In Fallout Shelter, you play as the vault’s overseer, as you manage your vault dwellers’ happiness, and take responsibility to build a thriving vault community. Each Vault Dweller in Shelter presents forward their own unique stats, and can level up through play. Various vault rooms and other areas can be used to help build up your inhabitants’ stats, strengthening your community and protecting from attacks from rad-roaches and raider invasions. As well as this, each Dweller have their own items for use when out into the wasteland in search for items.
Fallout Shelter will also feature micromanagement, with the gameplay heavily focused on players managing right balance of food, water, and electricity to keep the vault happy. Bethesda Game Studios chief Todd Howard spoke a little on the iOS title and said the its comes heavily inspired from games such as Little Computer People, XCOM, and SimCity. Fallout Shelter is said to feature no restricting micro-transactions, and will not require internet connections in order to play.
Fallout Shelter is out now for Apple iOS devices. More information to come later has been promised for an Android version by Marketing Chief Pete Hines on twitter.
